Arnikon Gantry Crane Systems  Design Features
  • Our Gantry Cranes are completely designed by our own engineers in accordance with ISO, FEM and DIN norms.
  • Mechanism selections are made in accordance with the desired lifting and running speeds and working class.
  • Bridge beam deflection is calculated as 1/1000 at most.
  • The analysis of gantry crane beams is done with ANSYS program when necessary.
  • Wheel Blocks, which are Arnikon R&D products, provide convenience in the assembly & disassembly process. By having a quieter and more sensitive bearing system compared to its alternatives, it increases the life of the roller, wheel and gear box, and thanks to the adjustable wheel center, it can provide +/- 15 mm movement in the centers where there are rail defects.
Arnikon Gantry Crane Systems  Technology Features
  • In Arnikon electric gantry cranes, double speed is provided by a double-speed electric motor. Sensitivity is gained with frequency inverter.
  • With motor drivers, namely frequency inverters, both stop & start sensitivity is provided and load safety is achieved.
  • With the electric motor and reducer groups specially produced for Industrial gantry cranes, soft starts and stops, impact-free operation and long life are provided.
  • The brakes are spring-loaded negative brakes with high torque and 2 times more torque than the maximum capacity.
  • Gantry end carriages consist of wheel blocks cast from GGG50 material. These wheel blocks are precisely processed with the latest technology and provide longevity in bearing and wheel life. It also provides a great advantage in reaching the desired high speeds.
  • The wheel hub is driven by a multi-wedge system, minimising wear on the wheel hub and drive shaft.
  • Remote control of travelling gantry cranes is provided by radio frequency remote control technology.
  • Loadcell is used for overload protection.
  • All steel materials used are DIN EN 10204 3.1 certified products.
Arnikon Gantry Crane Systems  Production Features
  • Quality certified sheets are used in the production of gantry cranes and the welds of the produced bridge girders are checked by non-destructive methods and the dimensions are checked according to TS-EN-1090 tolerances.
  • All external welds of the bridge beams are welded with submerged arc welding robots.
  • Based on the working conditions, we make special primer and paint applications and take precautions against corrosion. We can paint in special colours requested by our customers.
  • The cranes can be controlled by push buttons that can move along the beam, as well as by remote control or from the cabin.
  • Single or double line C profile cable trolley system can be preferred for the current receiving festoon line along the travelling bridge, and I profile cable trolley system can be preferred for heavy conditions.
  • Over-wire electrical installation, closed busbar installation or C profile cable trolley electrical installation can be preferred for the hall length current receiving system.
Arnikon Gantry Crane Systems  Maintenance And Security  Features
  • All of our gantry cranes are designed in accordance with occupational health and safety standards and procedures.
  • Maintenance platform is available in all of our gantry cranes in accordance with the standards.
  • Gantry crane legs are equipped with deck ladders for climbing on the crane for maintenance and repair purposes.
  • Movement limiting switches are used for all directions.
  • Rotary limit switches for crane lowering and lifting movement, cross limit switches for crane trolley and bridge travelling group are available.
  • All of the limit switches are double stage in slow down & stop logic.
  • Shock absorbing plastic raw material derivative wedges are used at the ends of the crane travelling gear.
  • Overload protection, residual current relay, PTC thermistor, collision sensor, emergency stop button, audible/light warning siren are standard protection units in all our gantry systems.
  • In addition to the user manual, the electrical diagram and operating manuals of all electrical & electronic components used in the system are delivered to the customer in the crane electrical panel.

What is a Gantry Crane?

A gantry crane, also known as portal crane, are crane model with its own feet. Bridge beams are fixed on these legs. Mostly used in open areas. The most common sectors we come across; shipyards, harbours, mining, machinery manufacturing. Of course, it is not limited to these and can be used in all jobs that require lifting and transporting heavy loads.

Gantry cranes have the same principle as overhead cranes. Since it has its own legs, it does not need an extra construction to get support. With this feature, it is ideal for open areas. It is also very suitable for use in closed areas where it is undesirable to put load on building carriers or there is a need to lift more than the carriers can withstand

Their mobility can be increased up to 3 directions. While it can move back and forth with the rails on the ground to which the feet are connected, it can go horizontally on its own gantry. It also provides lifting by means of hoist.

Parts of a Gantry Crane

We can talk about 6 basic components in the structure of a typical electric gantry crane system. Carrier girders, gantry legs, hoist, ground beam, hook block and end trucks.

Girders and legs form the carrier skeleton of the system. Ground beam is the ground connection on which the crane moves back and forth. It also ensures that it stays on a fixed path. End trucks are the motors that provide the movement of the crane on the ground beam. Hoist and hook block provide the function of lifting the load.

How Long It Takes to Manufacture an Industrial Gantry Crane

Industrial gantry cranes are tailor-made according to the characteristics of the place where they will be used and the needs of the work to be done. Although most dynamics are similar, it is not possible to produce a single model that fits all conditions. For this reason, in order to determine the manufacturing time, it is necessary to first determine the characteristics of the crane to be customly manufactured.
