In double girder overhead cranes, the hoist moves on two bridge beams. This means higher durability, strength and lifting height. At this point, we can say that the biggest advantage of double girder eot cranes is their ability to lift higher.
Again, when we consider the same durability factor, double beam overhead cranes come to the rescue when cranes need to be used in wide spaced areas. Of course, they can carry more load than single beam models.
It is worth adding that although the hoist is mostly placed on the top of the beam, it is also possible to mount it to the bottom. Crane end carriages also usually work by pressing the rail from the top. In addition, a ceiling suspension crane can also be made with an L profile
The basic components of this type of cranes are two girders, lifting kit, rails and controllers. In addition to these, additional platform, operator cabin, second hoist can be added on the crane beams depending on requests and needs.
The details of the other parts we use in our manufacturing are as follows:
We use square rail or type A rail as crane rail on the bridge. Due to their structure, crane end carriages transmit minimum load to the crane walkways and the building. We optimise the bridge girders to be the lightest and strongest according to the relevant working class in DIN and FEM standards.
There is a maintenance platform extending over at least one girder for maintenance, repair and service. The crane energy supply and cable transport system is usually mounted between the girders. This prevents visual pollution.
In cranes with remote control, another line of cable transport profile is laid on the platform side for cable control. In cranes where a load indicator is requested, the information received from the loadcell which is used for overload is transferred to a screen.
