Overhead Crane Systems Features

  • Design
  • Technology
  • Production
  • Maintenance & Security
  • Our Overhead Electric Crane Systems are completely designed by our own engineers in accordance with ISO, FEM and DIN norms.
  • Mechanism selections are made in accordance with the desired lifting and running speeds and working class.
  • Bridge beam deflection is calculated as 1/1000 at most.
  • Industrial Overhead Crane brakes are high moment spring pressed negative brakes and have 2 times more torque than the maximum capacity.
  • Travelling groups consist of wheel blocks casted from GGG50 material. These wheel blocks are precisely processed with the latest technology, providing longevity in terms of bearing and wheel life, as well as providing a great advantage in reaching the desired high speeds.
  • By driving from the wheel hub with a multiple wedge system, wear on the wheel hub and drive shaft is minimised.
  • Wheel Blocks, which are Arnikon R&D products, provide convenience in the assembly & disassembly process. By having a quieter and more sensitive bearing system compared to its alternatives, it increases the life of the roller, wheel and gear box, and thanks to the adjustable wheel center, it can provide +/- 15 mm movement in the centers where there are rail defect.
  • The analysis of bridge crane beams is done with ANSYS program when necessary.
  • In Arnikon overhead travelling cranes, double speed is provided by a double-speed electric motor. Sensitivity is gained with frequency inverter.
  • With motor drivers, namely frequency inverters, both stop & start sensitivity is provided and load safety is achieved.
  • The brakes are spring-loaded negative brakes with high torque and 2 times more torque than the maximum capacity.
  • EOT crane end carriages consist of wheel blocks cast from GGG50 material. These wheel blocks are precisely processed with the latest technology and provide longevity in bearing and wheel life. It also provides a great advantage in reaching the desired high speeds.
  • The wheel hub is driven by a multi-wedge system, minimising wear on the wheel hub and drive shaft.
  • The remote controls of the electrical overhead cranes are provided by radio frequency remote control technology.
  • Loadcell is used for overload protection in overhead crane systems.
  • All steel materials used are DIN EN 10204 3.1 certified products
  • The welds of the bridge beams produced by using quality certified sheets are controlled by non-destructive methods and the dimensions are controlled according to TS-EN-1090 tolerances.
  • All external welds of the bridge beams are welded with submerged arc welding robots.
  • Sandblasting and painting processes are applied according to world standards in the manufacture of crane bridges. Considering the working conditions of the crane, coating or special paint applications can be made. We can paint in special colours as requested.
  • The cranes can be controlled by push buttons that can move along the girder, as well as by remote control or from the cabin.
  • Single or double line C profile cable trolley system can be preferred for the current receiving festoon line along the travelling bridge, and I profile cable trolley system can be preferred for heavy conditions.
  • Over-wire electrical installation, closed busbar installation or C profile cable trolley electrical installation can be preferred for the hall length current receiving system of overhead cranes.
  • All of our overhead travelling cranes are designed in accordance with occupational health and safety standards and procedures.
  • Maintenance platform is available in all of our overhead cranes in accordance with the standards.
  • Movement limiting switches are used for all directions.
  • Rotary limit switches for crane lowering and lifting movement, cross limit switches for crane trolley and bridge travelling group are available.
  • All of the limit switches are double stage in slow down & stop logic.
  • Shock absorbing plastic raw material derivative wedges are used at the ends of the crane travelling gear.
  • Overload protection, residual current relay, PTC thermistor, collision sensor, emergency stop button, audible/light warning siren are standard protection units in all our EOT cranes.
  • Overhead travelling crane operating manual, electrical diagram and operating manuals of all electrical & electronic components used in the system are delivered to the customer in the crane electrical panel.

What is an Overhead Crane?

An overhead crane is the ideal transport solution for closed areas where heavy loads need to be moved. It is frequently needed in heavy industry and factories. They can carry loads vertically with a hoist and horizontally on a fixed rail. It also offers mobility on its own girder by means of a trolley. Overhead cranes do not have their own legs, they are mostly mounted on the carrier elements of the structure in which they will be used. Depending on the need, can be mounted on special metal constructions.

Parts of an Overhead Crane

An overhead Crane system basically consists of 4 components. These are; carrier girders, trolley with hoist, motors to move the crane on rails and hook block.

Trolley is the part where the hoist is located. Hoist is the name given to the motor that provides the up-down movement of the load, in other words, lifting. It also provides horizontal movement on the crane itself.

How Long It Takes to Manufacture an Electric Overhead Travelling Crane

Electric Overhead Travelling Crane are not equipment with fixed models or specifications. Variables such as the characteristics of the place where they will be used, the required lifting capacity, the range of movement, the dimensions of the structure to be mounted affect the production. Due to these factors with high variability, a fixed production is not made.

Each crane is designed and specially manufactured from scratch with the calculations made by evaluating these factors. Therefore, it is not possible to give a standard time for production. Although average estimates can be made, times may be extended or shortened according to our production intensity. You can contact our sales department to find out how long it will take for the customised manufacturing we can do for you.
